We are looking for a Backend Python Engineer with 3+ years of hands-on development experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong Python fundamentals, experience building production-grade backend applications, and a good understanding of DevOps, cloud infrastructure, containers, and CI/CD practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
- Build and maintain REST APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Write clean, modular, maintainable, and well-tested production code.
- Design and optimize database interactions using PostgreSQL/MySQL or similar relational databases.
- Work with asynchronous programming, background jobs, queues, and caching where required.
- Troubleshoot application performance, API latency, memory, and production issues.
- Implement authentication, authorization, API security, logging, and error handling.
- Containerize applications using Docker.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
- Deploy and support applications in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP.
- Understand and work with Linux environments, networking, environment configuration, and application monitoring.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, QA, and DevOps teams.
Backend
- 3+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on Python expertise.
- Strong understanding of OOP, data structures, exception handling, concurrency, and asynchronous programming.
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Strong understanding of REST API design and development.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar databases.
- Understanding of database design, indexing, transactions, and query optimization.
- Experience with Git and standard software development practices.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests using tools such as pytest.
- Good understanding of Docker and containerized deployments.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
