This role is a 6-month engagement, working 40 hours per week. What you’d be doing in this role As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve. We're looking for a Motion Designer to join Canva on a 6-month contract. In this role, you'll create engaging static and motion creative across a wide range of marketing initiatives in Indonesia. From brand campaigns and partnerships to social media, performance marketing, events, product launches, and lifecycle marketing, you'll help bring Canva's ideas to life through thoughtful design and motion. Working closely with marketers and cross-functional stakeholders, you'll contribute to creative concepts and deliver high-quality visual assets that are on-brand, locally relevant, and tailored to each channel. While motion design is an important part of the role, we're looking for someone with a strong foundation in graphic design who enjoys working across both static and motion projects. At the moment, this role is focused on: Create high-quality static and motion assets across brand campaigns, partnerships, social media, performance marketing, events, product launches, and other marketing initiatives. Design and adapt creative across a variety of channels and formats, ensuring a consistent and engaging brand experience. Collaborate with marketers and cross-functional stakeholders to develop creative ideas and bring campaigns to life. Create compelling visuals and use motion to enhance storytelling across digital experiences where appropriate. Ensure all creative outputs are on-brand, localized for the Indonesia market, and optimized for their intended platforms. Stay across design, motion, and social trends, bringing fresh ideas and creative thinking to continuously improve our work. You'll be comfortable taking projects from concept through execution, creating compelling visuals and bringing them to life through motion when appropriate. You'll succeed in this role if you're a resourceful, detail-oriented creative with a passion for design and creating work that resonates with local audiences. A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent graphic design and motion design across a range of digital marketing, brand, or creative projects. Strong graphic design fundamentals, including typography, layout, composition, colour, and visual hierarchy. Proficiency in motion design, animation, and video editing, with the ability to create polished content across a variety of formats. Experience creating creative assets across social media, digital marketing, brand campaigns, or integrated marketing initiatives, with the ability to adapt concepts across multiple channels and formats.
