Job Description

Your Role:
We are seeking a skilled Structural / FEA Engineer with experience in analysing and designing dynamically loaded structures, particularly in the Wind energy sector and Turbomachinery. The role involves performing advanced finite element simulations, delivering optimized structural solutions, and supporting certification processes.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of wind turbine tower structures and internal components using ANSYS tools.
  • Expert in Ansys workbench.
  • Hand-on experience in Python
  • Execute static structural (Linear and Non-Linear), dynamic, model analysis, vibration analysis.
  • Conduct fatigue assessments (HCF & LCF) and support structural durability evaluations.
  • Develop and maintain parametric FE models and automate post-processing using scripting tools.
  • Support design optimization activities to improve performance, reduce weight, and minimize cost.
  • Generate high-quality technical reports and documentation for internal stakeholders and certification bodies (e.g., DNV, TÜV).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional global teams (design, loads, certification).
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Deliver engineering solutions aligned with quality, timeline, and cost targets.

Job Description

  • BE (or) master's degree
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Structural Engineering
  • Wind turbine design, or Turbomachinery design

Technical Expertise

FEA & Simulation

  • Strong proficiency in:
    • ANSYS Workbench (mandatory)
    • ANSYS APDL / Classic (Good to have)
    • Space Claim / Design Modeller
  • Experience with:
    • Linear & Nonlinear Static Analysis
  • Buckling Analysis
      • Dynamic Analysis
      • Random Vibration-PSD
      • Transient Analysis
      • Steady-State & Transient Thermal Analysis
      • Fatigue Analysis
    • Welded structures
    • Bolted joints (including preload & stiffness)
    • Castings and forged components
  • Hands-on analytical calculations for:
    • Bolted and welded connections
