This Manager role within Databricks’ Credit & Collections organisation is responsible for driving credit strategy, strategic customer collections, AR performance, and complex escalations across a high-growth, usage-based Data/AI business. The role combines financial and commercial judgment with hands-on customer engagement, functional oversight of collection operations, and governance of the outsourced collections model. This is a high-impact opportunity for a CA, CPA, or experienced finance professional to take ownership of credit risk, cash, strategic customer relationships, and AR performance at Databricks scale.
The impact you will have:
- Lead the Credit & Collections function for an assigned scope within Databricks, including credit policies, collection practices, risk mitigation, and escalation protocols
- Own credit assessment, risk reviews, credit limits, payment terms, credit holds/releases, and exception management within the established approval framework
- Make credit recommendations and decisions within delegated authority, balancing credit risk, cash conversion, and commercial considerations
- Personally manage collections strategy and executive-level escalations for strategic and high-value Databricks customers
- Lead resolution of complex disputes, contractual payment issues, and commercially sensitive collection matters
- Own the monthly AR performance framework, including collection targets, cash collected vs. target, CEI, aging, write-offs, and cash forecasting
- Translate AR and credit trends into actionable insights for Finance leadership, including emerging risks, recovery outlook, and bad debt/reserve considerations
- Manage the Accenture collections engagement, including SLA/KPI governance, account allocation, quality, process adherence, escalations, and corrective actions
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, RevOps, Legal, Billing, and Finance leadership to resolve high-impact credit and collection matters
- Identify systemic drivers of delinquency and credit exposure and lead initiatives to strengthen controls, processes, and collection effectiveness
- Drive process transformation and continuous improvement across Credit & Collections, leveraging automation, AI, analytics, and scalable operating models to improve efficiency and decision-making
- Serve as the subject-matter authority for Credit & Collections, providing guidance on complex cases, policies, credit decisions, and commercial considerations
What we look for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is a must; CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred
- 12+ years of progressive experience across Credit & Collections, ideally within high-growth SaaS, technology, or complex B2B environments
- Proven experience in credit risk assessment, collections strategy, and managing strategic or high-value customer relationships
- Strong understanding of usage-based and subscription billing models, commercial contracts, and associated credit risks
