Job Description

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Manual QA Tester with 8-10 years of experience in software quality assurance and manual testing. The candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test strategies, identifying defects, validating business requirements, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software applications.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, UAT, and end-to-end testing, along with excellent analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze business and functional requirements and identify test scenarios and test conditions.
  • Create, review, and maintain detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
  • Execute manual test cases and document test results.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
  • Identify, document, track, and verify defects using tools such as Jira, Zephyr , or similar defect-management systems.
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA engineers to investigate and resolve defects.
  • Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Perform impact analysis for application changes and prepare appropriate regression test suites.
  • Validate application behavior across different browsers, devices, environments, and configurations where applicable.
  • Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or similar tools, where required.
  • Validate database records using SQL queries and perform backend data verification.
  • Support UAT and production validation activities.
  • Review test coverage and identify gaps in existing test scenarios.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers and provide guidance on testing best practices.
  • Contribute to improving QA processes, standards, documentation, and overall product quality.
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, issues, and release readiness.
Required Skills
  • 8-10 years of hands-on experience in software testing, primarily manual testing.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC,Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
  • Strong experience in writing test scenarios, test cases, test data, and defect reports.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Zephyr, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience working with web-based applications.
  • Strong knowledge of functional and regression testing.
  • Good understanding of API testing and tools such as Postman.
  • Good knowledge of SQL and database validation.
  • Experience with end-to-end testing and integration testing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good to Have
  • Experience working in CI/CD environments.
  • Basic understanding of automation testing concepts and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, wireshark
  • Experience with performance testing concepts.
  • Experience in testing REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Domain experience in areas such as Telecom
  • Good to have Avaya product experience.
  • Experience mentoring QA team members or leading testing activities.
