Mainframe Developer

We are looking for a Mainframe Senior developer responsible for building Mainframe applications. Your primary responsibility will be to create user information solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining mainframe based components and interfaces, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure.

Technical Requirements: Primary skills Required: Mainframes, COBOL, PL/1, CICS, JCL, DB2
Tools: IBM Rational tools (IDz, RDz, RBD, RTC)

Additional Responsibilities: • In-depth knowledge of design issues and best practices
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Familiar with various design, architectural patterns and software development process.
• Experience with both external and embedded databases
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate with remote teams in effective manner
• High flexibility to travel
