About the Team The Integrated Marketing team sits at the center of product, brand, creative, media, research, and GTM work. We partner closely with PMM, Product, Developer Relations, Design, Comms, and agency teams to shape launches and campaigns that are clear, distinctive, and grounded in real audience insight. This is a growing function, so the team needs people who can both raise the quality of the work and build the operating model around it: bringing strong judgment, high agency, and trusted partnership to complex, visible moments. About the Role Developers and founders are building some of the most interesting things happening in AI. They’re starting companies, creating new products, and changing how people work. We’re looking for an integrated marketing manager who understands this audience and can shape how OpenAI shows up for developers, founders, startups, and engineering teams. That includes supporting campaigns around new products, creating meaningful developer experiences, and finding compelling ways to highlight the people and companies building with our technology. You’ll partner across Product, Product Marketing, Developer Relations, Research, Brand, and Creative, along with external agencies and partners, to develop strategies and bring strong ideas to market. The right person understands technology, has good creative judgment, and knows how to turn audience insight into work that feels useful, credible, and worth paying attention to. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, with three days a week in the office. In this role, you will: Support marketing strategies for developers, founders, startups, and engineering teams building with OpenAI, based on how technical audiences discover tools, evaluate them, and decide what to use. Partner with creative, media, and production agencies to develop briefs, evaluate concepts, improve the work, and bring campaigns to market. Establish agency relationships, campaign budgets, media planning, and paid media investments. Manage integrated campaigns across product launches, developer events, startup initiatives, community programs, and other opportunities to reach builders. Help shape campaign positioning, creative concepts, storytelling, and channel strategy. Bring your own judgment to the work and push for ideas that will actually resonate with developers. Identify compelling developers, founders, and companies building with OpenAI and find thoughtful ways to tell their stories. Measure what’s working across awareness, engagement, consideration, product adoption, and relevant business outcomes, then use those insights to improve future campaigns. You might thrive in this role if you: Have ~ 10+ years of experience in developer marketing, integrated brand marketing, creative or media agencies, product marketing, and/or a related technology marketing role. We care more about the scope, quality, and complexity of your work than an exact number of years. Love technology, follow what developers and founders are building, and actively explore new AI products and tools. You are curious about APIs, models, developer tools, and technical products, and can ask informed questions without oversimplifying. Can earn credibility with engineers, product leaders, developer relations teams, and technical marketers, while also translating technical ideas into campaigns that broader founder, startups, and business audiences can understand. Bring strong brand, media, visual, and creative judgment; have experience selecting and managing agencies, shaping campaign briefs, and delivering distinctive integrated work. Combine analytical thinking, hands-on execution, strong relationships, and original ideas that make the work better for the people around you. You are high-agency, comfortable with ambiguity, able to push back constructively, and trusted as a strategic partner rather than only an execution owner.
