Business Analyst Intern

About Thoughtworks & The Strategic Beach Management Portfolio

Thoughtworks is a leading global technology consultancy that integrates strategy, design, and software engineering to drive digital innovation.

In professional services and IT consulting firms like Thoughtworks, the "beach" (or "bench") refers to the pool of talented consultants who are temporarily unassigned between billable client engagements. Effectively managing this unassigned talent capacity is critical to maintaining operational efficiency, preserving profitability, and reducing unassigned time. Rather than treating this period as idle time, proactive beach management transforms transient capacity into a strategic asset and ensures consultants remain deployable and ready to meet rapid commercial demand.

The Strategic Beach Management (SBM) portfolio transforms unassigned consulting capacity across India into high-impact, reusable software assets—including strategic big bets, internal investments, open-source contributions, and client sales Proofs of Concept (POCs)—while accelerating consultant deployability.
