About the Role As Senior Engineering Manager for Agent Platform & UX, you will lead two teams reimagining Render's onboarding and activation experience for both humans and AI agents. One team owns the experience a person sees the first time they come to Render: signup, onboarding, activation, and what drives them to adopt more of the platform. The other team builds the equivalent experience for agents, which reach Render through APIs rather than the UI, integrating with providers like Codex, Claude, and Cursor so agents can use Render the way humans do. You'll take an already-forming org through its next stage of growth. What You'll Do Lead and grow two teams, UX (human onboarding and activation) and Agent Platform (the equivalent experience for agents via programmatic interfaces like the MCP, CLI, API, SDK, and Blueprints) Own the roadmap for Render's self-serve user journey, from first touch through activation, initial monetization, usage expansion, new feature adoption, and PQL graduation Drive the agent-facing side of the platform: build the API-driven experience that lets agents integrate with and operate on Render Partner with the dedicated product and design partners on both teams to align roadmap with customer, growth, and platform needs Hire and develop engineers to support planned team growth, while keeping both teams' identities and focus areas clear as they scale Make key architectural and product decisions, balancing long-term platform investment against iterative improvements to onboarding and activation Build a strong performance management and career development practice for a team that already includes senior ICs What We're Looking For Strong people leadership - the top priority for this role Hands-on enough to review code, prototype, and contribute di
