Software Engineer

Build high-quality, clean, scalable and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.) Implement software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customise the functionality to meet their specific needs Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite Integrate with third-party SaaS platforms and identity providers (OAuth 2.0, SAML, SCIM), handling authentication, rate limits, pagination, and error recovery Contribute to AI-powered capabilities in the product Write automated tests (unit, integration) and treat test coverage as part of the definition of done Debug and resolve product defects, including customer-reported issues, with clear root-cause analysis Partner with product managers, UX, and documentation to clarify requirements and surface risks early Be a mentor for colleagues and help promote knowledge-sharing

Core engineering 3–5 years of professional software development experience building and shipping production software Strong programming fundamentals in Java (or a comparable OO language) plus solid JavaScript/TypeScript Practical front-end experience with a modern framework (React, Angular, or Vue) Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL — schema design, indexing, and query performance Experience designing and consuming web services like SOAP and REST APIs Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines AI fluency Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving — whether through AI-powered tools, workflow automation, analysis of AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's impact on your function Comfort using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to accelerate delivery, with the judgment to review and validate what they produce Awareness of the practical constraints of production AI — hallucination handling, evaluation, guardrails, token cost, and data privacy Collaboration & Communication Delivers assigned work independently with minimal supervision; knows when to escalate rather than stall Communicates clearly in writing — design notes, story updates, and PR descriptions that a reader can follow Comfortable in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and iterative delivery Nice to have Experience with the ServiceNow platform (Glide, Flow Designer, scoped applications, etc) Background in ITAM/SAM or SaaS management domains Knowledge of cloud fundamentals (AWS/Azure/GCP)
