QA -Manager, State Street IM, Hybrid

Who we are looking for

• Candidate with more than 8 years of total testing experience
• A minimum of Degree level qualification in a computer or IT related subject is required, plus relevant experience or training in many of the main duties specified in the Job Specification.
• Candidate should be able to demonstrable knowledge and expertise of, and exposure to, the majority of the primary development technologies listed in the Job Specification.
• Strong understanding and hands on experience with QA processes and methodologies
• Knowledge & Experience of Trade Life Cycle (Order Management System )

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

As Individual Contributor (Hands-on QA Automation Engineer / SDET)

you will

. SME in Capital Markets domain with strong knowledge of Trading systems, including Equities, FX, Futures, Fixed Income, and FIX Connectivity.

. Work closely with Business Analysts and Development teams to understand business requirements and validate enhancements delivered on trading platforms.

. Hands-on experience in functional, integration, and regression testing of trading platforms such as ION Minerva, CRD, or similar OMS/EMS platforms.

. Strong experience across the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), including requirements analysis, test planning, test case design, test data preparation, regression test selection, test execution, defect validation, and test reporting.

. Expert in creating End-to-End test scenarios, detailed test cases, BDD feature files, and maintaining test assets in JIRA/Xray.

. Strong hands-on experience with Java, BDD, Cucumber, TestNG, Rest Assured, Maven, Git, Kafka, CI/CD pipelines, SQL, and Oracle databases.

. Experience designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing reusable automation frameworks, including hybrid and data-driven frameworks.

. Strong hands-on experience in UI and API automation using Playwright/MCP, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Postman, and SOAP UI.

. Perform automation feasibility analysis, framework development, script creation, execution, debugging, and maintenance of automated test suites.

. Execute API, UI, integration, regression, and end-to-end test automation across multiple applications and environments.

. Analyze test results, investigate failures, identify root causes, and work closely with developers to validate fixes.

. Raise, track, retest, and verify defects through closure while maintaining clear defect documentation in JIRA.

. Validate data integrity through backend database testing and service-level verification.

. Contribute to continuous improvement of test automation, CI/CD integration, test coverage, and overall testing efficiency.

. Support release validation activities by executing functional and regression test suites and providing quality-related test evidence.

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role

• Minimum 5 years of experience in automation testing using tools like TOSCA, Java, BDD, cucumber, TestNg, RestAssured, GIT, Maven , Kafka Terminal, CICD

• Functional knowledge Capital Markets domain, Trading (Equity, FX, Futures & Fixed Income), FIX Connectivity.

• Trading platform maintenance and support experience
