Role: Emulation Engineer
Roles & Responsibilities
· Bring up and debug SoC designs on hardware emulation platforms
· Perform RTL-to-emulation compilation, partitioning, and mapping
· Enable pre-silicon firmware and software bring-up on emulation
· Debug functional and performance issues across RTL, firmware, and software
· Develop and execute emulation test scenarios and regressions
· Collaborate with DV and FPGA teams to align simulation and prototyping flows
· Optimize emulation performance, capacity usage, and turnaround time
· Document emulation flows, debug methodologies, and best practices
Tools & Skills
· Emulation Platforms: Cadence Palladium, Synopsys ZeBu, Siemens Veloce
· RTL & Verification Awareness: Verilog, SystemVerilog, SoC DV concepts
· Software: Linux boot flows, drivers, firmware bring-up
· Debug & Automation: Emulation debug tools, Tcl, Python, Shell scripting
· Domains: CPU, GPU, NPU, FPGA-assisted system validation
