We are seeking a Senior Technical Writer to build the documentation, architecture, training, knowledge-transfer, and operational-readiness foundation for the new GIOC in Chennai. The role partners with GIOC, DCOPS, Physical Security, Engineering, Tools & Automation, Technical Support, Platform, TPMs, and US stakeholders. Role Overview Build a single source of truth that enables consistent 24x7 operations. Convert complex technical knowledge into clear, actionable documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, workflows, training, KT packages, and service-readiness artifacts. This is a documentation and enablement role—not an Incident Manager, TPM, or engineering remediation role. Key Responsibilities GIOC Documentation & Runbooks Create SOPs, runbooks, workflows, checklists, RACI, service ownership, escalation, and operational procedures. Build runbooks for infrastructure, network, security, datacenter, monitoring, maintenance, failover, and recovery. Architecture & Process Documentation Capture current/future-state architecture, service dependencies, data flows, integrations, and operational boundaries. Create process maps, swimlanes, decision trees, escalation workflows, and operating-model diagrams. Knowledge Transfer & Handoffs Build US→India TTO/KT packages covering architecture, monitoring, dependencies, runbooks, ownership, escalation, and support boundaries. Standardize shift handoffs and engineering/operational communication templates. Training & Enablement Build GIOC onboarding and role-based training plans, materials, scenarios, assessments, and readiness checklists. Partner with Engineering SMEs to conduct KT and close knowledge gaps. Confluence & Knowledge Management Build and govern the GIOC Confluence knowledge base, templates, ownership, review cycles, versioning, and searchability. US–India & TPM Partnership Facilitate SME workshops and partner with US Engineering and TPMs on PRDs, requirements, workflows, and operational readiness. Drive review, approval, and publication across distributed stakeholders. Operational Readiness & Continuous Improvement Ensure critical services have approved documentation, architecture, training, monitoring, escalation, access, and KT readiness before transition. Use operational feedback to improve documentation and identify AI-assisted knowledge-management opportunities. Required Qualifications 5–8+ years in technical writing, technical documentation, knowledge management, or operations documentation. Experience with cloud/infrastructure, NOC/SOC, SRE, DevOps, datacenter, networking, systems, security, or monitoring environments. Strong experience creating runbooks, SOPs, workflows, architecture/process diagrams, and knowledge bases. Hands-on Confluence and Jira/ITSM experience; familiarity with Visio, Lucid
