Summary:

The IT Business Partner serves as a strategic liaison between business priorities and technology delivery, ensuring alignment, transparency, and measurable outcomes. Each ELT member is supported by an IT Business Partner who translates business needs into actionable technology initiatives, providing visibility into progress, value, and risk while enabling informed-decision making.

What This Role Supports

Provides end-to-end visibility coordination across the Demand - Decisions - Delivery - Value lifecycle, ensuring transparency at every stage.

Translate business needs into clear outcomes, business cases, and prioritized work

Ensures initiatives align to enterprise standards, available platforms, and the strategic priorities in partnership with Architecture

Provide visibility into small, medium, and large work efforts, showing where each item is within the lifecycle

Support value realization by connecting delivery outcomes to business impact

Partner with IT Finance on investment visibility, funding alignment, and ROI tracking

Apply an AI-first lens in partnership with the AI Hub to improve intake, prioritization, and decision-making while ensuring business requests are evaluated through an AI-first approach

Key Responsibilities

Partner with business stakeholders to understand priorities, pain points, and opportunities for growth and efficiency

Facilitate demand intake and support prioritization discussions, surfacing dependencies, risks, and trade-offs

Enable informed decision-making by providing clear visibility into status, risk, and progress

Engage with delivery teams to stay connected to execution, help remove blockers, and ensure alignment to intended outcomes

Support structured communication cadences (business reviews, portfolio reporting, escalations)

Collaborate with vendor management and procurement as needed to support solution evaluation

Qualifications

Required:

12 - 15 years of experience in IT, product, or business relationship management

Experience supporting business stakeholders and technology delivery initiatives

Experience with business case development, prioritization, and/or portfolio coordination

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience

Preferred:

BRM certification (BRMP/CBRM) PMP, PgMP, or Agile certifications

Experience with AI-enabled tools or data-driven decision making

Background in SaaS, enterprise software, or tax technology
