About the role As the Senior Product Manager, AI Risk & Merchant Onboarding, you will shape the first and most important interactions that businesses have with Airwallex. You will own the strategy for creating a fast, intelligent and trusted onboarding experience—one that helps legitimate merchants get started quickly while identifying and responding to fraud and other risks proactively. You’ll help build an AI-native risk system that can understand a merchant’s business, open new sources of insight and make smarter decisions in real time. Your work will sit at the intersection of onboarding, fraud prevention, payments, artificial intelligence and merchant experience. You will also help optimise payment-method recommendations by balancing risk, cost, payment conversion and the overall experience for merchants and their customers. What you’ll do Own the product strategy and roadmap for merchant onboarding, risk decisioning and related merchant experiences. Map and optimise the end-to-end journey from discovery and sign-up through verification, activation and product adoption. Build AI-powered capabilities that can interpret merchant business context, surface relevant signals and detect emerging risk patterns earlier. Partner with Engineering, Data Science and Risk teams to develop AI agents that identify compromised accounts, illegal or prohibited selling activity and other suspicious behaviour. Turn AI-generated insights into real-time actions through fraud and risk models, including intelligent step-ups, reviews, restrictions or approvals where appropriate.
