Role summary
Own finance, accounting, and statutory compliance for CommerceIQ's India entity, serving as the primary point of contact for banking relationships, tax authorities, and statutory auditors. Partner with the global controllership team in the US to keep India operations aligned with company-wide policy and reporting standards, manage and develop a small India finance team, and act as an authorized signatory across banking, tax, and regulatory portals.
Key responsibilities
1. Accounting, Reporting & Statutory Compliance
- Own day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, and the monthly/quarterly/annual close in NetSuite; prepare financial dashboards for leadership.
- Serve as the company's primary owner for Indian statutory compliance (GST, TDS/withholding tax, corporate income tax, PF/PT, STPI), including ownership of GST and TDS reporting and configuration within NetSuite (e-Way Bill, GSTIN localization).
- Own EEFC/e-BRC regularization for inward remittances; track evolving labor law requirements and ensure payroll, F&F settlements, and reimbursements stay compliant.
- Maintain Board, AGM, and Company Secretary records in support of annual statutory filings.
