- B.Tech / Diploma in Chemical Engineering /Chemical Technology
- 2 to 4 and 7 to 13yrs
- Perform routine and advanced testing of fuels, lubricants, transmission oils, hydraulic oils, greases, coolants, water, and gaseous fuels (CNG/CBG).
- Conduct specialized analyses including PIONA analysis, Sulphur determination, gas composition analysis, moisture content, viscosity measurement, fuel dilution assessment, ion chromatography, elemental analysis, and grease characterization.
- Interpret laboratory results, investigate out-of-specification (OOS) findings, identify performance trends, and provide technical recommendations on fuel Quality, lubricant condition, and equipment health.
- Prepare accurate test reports, technical summaries, and analytical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 17025, ISO 9001, laboratory Quality systems, Safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain laboratory records, SOPs, calibration records, and sample traceability documentation.
- Support internal audits, proficiency testing programs, and Quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in root cause analysis of fuel and lubricant-related failures.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance laboratory efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
Required Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of ASTM, ISO, IS, SAE, and OEM testing standards.
- Sound understanding of fuel properties, lubricant chemistry, and tribology principles.
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Proficiency in MS Office and technical reporting tools.
