About the Role

You'll lead engineering hiring for Rubrik's India site — the distributed systems, cloud, security, data, and AI teams building Rubrik Security Cloud and Rubrik Agent Cloud. This is a senior individual-contributor seat: you'll own the hardest technical searches yourself and advise engineering VPs on leveling, team shape, and where in India to build. Every strong backend or AI engineer you approach already has three other conversations open, so the quality of your pitch and your judgment decides the outcome.

About the Team

Rubrik's Bengaluru engineering organization is among the company's largest and fastest-growing, shipping core platform and AI work rather than support functions. You'll partner with engineering leaders here and their counterparts in the US, and be looked to by the India Talent Acquisition team as the standard for technical recruiting.

What You'll Do

• Lead full life-cycle recruitment for Rubrik's most complex engineering searches in India — distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, security, data, and AI/ML — through to offer acceptance.
• Advise engineering Directors,VPs and above on hiring strategy, driving leveling calls, team composition, and location decisions with market evidence behind them.
• Design and run multi-channel sourcing strategies without direction, using competitive intelligence to reach engineers who aren't looking and aren't on a job board.
• Hold a credible technical conversation — enough depth to screen for real signal, calibrate a panel, and earn an engineer's respect in the first ten minutes.
• Make diverse pipelines structural: build them into intake, involve interview panels in sourcing, and evidence the outcome search by search.
• Lead a Talent Acquisition initiative beyond your own reqs — interviewer calibration, technical screen design, candidate experience, or reporting.
• Set the standard on tools and process for technical hiring, teach peers, and challenge what isn't working.

What You'll Bring

• 8+ years of full life-cycle recruiting, with substantial time hiring software engineers at product companies.
• Proven ability to close senior and hard-to-fill technical roles independently, across more than one engineering domain.
• Technical fluency — you can read a systems or ML profile accurately and discuss the work without a cheat sheet.
• Credibility with engineering VPs, evidenced by talent recommendations that changed a level, a profile, or an org decision.
• Command of competitive intelligence in the Indian engineering market: who's hiring, who's losing people, and what it takes to move them.
• Advanced command of an ATS and sourcing stack, at the level where peers come to you for guidance.
• Persuasive communication that closes candidates and reframes a hiring team's view of a profile.

• Scaling an engineering site or standing up a new team in India from a small base.
