Deep Research Annotator (Physics)

About the Role:

You will analyze reasoning in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum physics. The role requires evaluating multi-step derivations and physics intuition. Ideal for candidates with strong foundational physics training.

Responsibilities:

• Annotate and label physics problems, solutions, explanations, and research-style content to support supervised learning and RLHF pipelines.
• Review and validate AI-generated responses involving physical laws, mathematical derivations, simulations, and experimental interpretations.
• Evaluate step-by-step reasoning for accuracy, logical consistency, unit correctness, and adherence to physical principles.
• Analyze and tag errors related to assumptions, approximations, boundary conditions, and misuse of formulas or constants.
• Create and refine annotation guidelines to ensure consistency and high-quality labeling across datasets.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers to improve model performance in physics reasoning and scientific problem solving.

Skills & Experience Required:

• BSc/MSc in Physics or Engineering Physics
• Strong understanding of mechanics, EM, thermo, and quantum fundamentals
• Ability to validate multi-step physics calculations
• Skilled in multi-step derivations, physical intuition, and conceptual reasoning.
